1865 General Order No 53, Lt Col William J. L. Nicodemus is restored to the Signal Corps by President Lincoln! Seems Nicodemus showed "proper acknowledgment of his error" (must have been a big one to be booted from the army) and "in consideration of his former services" he was restored to the army.

In fine condition with wear as shown in the scan.
