This is unusual- Original telegram received by Medal of Honor recipient George W. Baird from his former colonel (General) Nelson Miles. Sent from Chicago and "Received at Helena, Mont." at 550 pm. Miles asks his old friend "about what time will it be convenient to report" Signed "Nelson A. Miles Comdg". While not in Miles own hand (telegraph operator filled this out), still a neat Indian War related item relating to two Medal of Honor recipients! Comes with original transmittal envelope.
