Superb character in this image of Lt Richard Cloyd Parker of the 12th US Infantry, holding his sword and doing his best Napoleon pose! Very sharp details to albumen, minor trimming to mount as shown as well as very minor background spots. Dated Oct. 1861 in pencil on verso.
